AD of the week: Tube it. Train it. Bus it.

TFL launched a new advert this week welcoming back passengers to London, the advert comes after the announcement of “freedom day” this Monday, which saw an end to covid lockdown measures.

The advert showed the famous tube stop signs, a bus destination sign, a bus stop button, and platform signs with different slogans. Reminding viewers that the world is slowly getting back to normal.

The slogans included:

  • Haircut
  • Art
  • Cinemas
  • Playing 5 a side
  • Swimming
  • Gyms
  • Drinks after work
  • Pubs
  • Shopping
  • Reunions
  • Singles night
  • Family days out
  • Exhibitions
  • Dinner for 2
  • Stand up comedy
  • Live gigs
  • Going out out and
  • Welcome back

This comes after the news that the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has requested that masks are kept compulsory on the TFL transport as it gives Londoners and visitors the reassurance and confidence to make the most of the city and also to protect transport workers and vulnerable people. Khan also suggested that Non-mask wearers on TFL transport should face penalties through “bylaw”.
